Dear Jen, Sorry About The Tree
I want to make it clear that it was never my idea. I was incredibly happy to have you home. It had been so long and to be honest I missed you so so much. Since you left, things have changed. Hank and I have become a lot more serious and we are even talking about having a baby now. Not that it makes up for what happened. I would never have planned for the arborist to come on the day you arrived home. Hank found this amazing tree removal service based in Melbourne and he said he had to use them because everyone says are the best and the most economic. Anyway, I really tried to get Hank to change the appointment but he just couldn’t. They didn’t have another tree removal specialist in Windsor for over four months! We couldn’t wait that long Jen, the tree was going to fall on us! Anyway I am really sorry. It was badly organised. I meant to be there as soon as the tree removal was complete but it took longer than expected and, well, I was ovulating! Hank and I are sticking to a strict schedule to try and get this baby. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive both of us. I wanted to tell you that should we get pregnant and have a baby, you are my first choice for godmother. Actually you are my only choice. So you better forgive me by then. It was just a stupid tree, that’s all. Just another household chore that needed dealing with and it sadly happened to be on the day of your return. Look now it’s all behind us, you are home, the tree is down and Hank is away on business for a while so it would be great if you responded to my messages and came round for a glass of wine!
